What are you thankful for?

iStock_000006099723XSmall.jpgMy business coach has a great question on his coaching prep form. It is "What are you thankful for."

When I think about that question it helps me focus my attention away from obstacles and into opportunity. It helps me look up. It gives me a broader perspective and peace of mind.

One of the things I am very thankful for is you.

Thank you for allowing me into your inbox.

Thank you for allowing me to serve you.

And thank you for the good you are putting out into the world.

You make my life richer and for that I am very grateful.

What are you thankful for?

A giving trip

Man, I don’t know about you, but I feel so fortunate to live the life I’m living. It’s easy street in so many ways. My physical needs are met, I’m never hungry or thirsty, seldom too cold or too hot. I have no chronic illnesses that I know of (other than my digital addiction). My commute to work is only 5 minutes down the hall, gotta love that. I am well-loved by my husband of 24 years, my beautiful daughter, 21, and my awesome son, 18. Pinch me, will ya?

This is all so undeserved. Thank you God. I wanna give out of this overflow so I said “yes” when my friend asked me to go with her on a group mission trip to Mexico, we leave in just a couple of weeks. I am so pumped. We’ll be helping construct a church, teaching vacation bible school, and ESL (English as a Second Language) classes.

This isn’t my first mission trip but it is my first one out of the country. I can hardly wait to see what God has in store for us. It’s a giving trip, the most preferred in my book.
